It’s an exciting time at StudentBridge! We are investing in our products and people and we are passionate about delivering a service that matters. We’re looking to add an Application Support Engineer to our Platform Engineering team in Atlanta.

As a StudentBridge Application Support Engineer, you will work with the Customer Success and Production teams to assure the successful implementation of customer projects. You’ll respond to and triage customer support requests and incidents, and to assure customer projects are implemented securely and according to StudentBridge standards. You will also be a key stakeholder in the product development process, including suggesting enhancements and new features. Finally, you’ll help operate and maintain StudentBridge’s software build/deployment systems and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

These are required for success in this role.

  • Good communication skills including those required to communicate with customers
  • Understanding of general web architectures and technologies
  • Comfortable with growing into a broad technologist with knowledge in several areas
  • Curious about how systems work and a desire to help solve problems
  • Comfortable working with remote teams


These attributes would help differentiate a candidate but aren’t required. Don’t worry, if you don’t have these, we’re happy to teach you or enable you to learn as you go!

  • An associate’s degree or more in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Computer Engineering or some related discipline
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Jenkins
  • Previous experience in one or more of these areas:
    • IT Help Desk
    • Network or Security Operations Center
    • Software Build, CI/CD, or Release Engineering
    • Cloud Infrastructure Engineering
    • Technical Project Management
    • Software Engineering (in any language or ecosystem)
    • Scripting with Unix Shell or Powershell
    • IT Security
    • Linux or Windows systems administration
    • Enterprise IT systems
    • IT Networking
  • Cloud management experience with the Boto library for Python and/or Terraform
  • Familiarity with the AWS tech stack
