Sitting right in the heart of downtown Boston, location is a huge selling point for Suffolk University. Even before COVID, Suffolk was looking for a way to showcase their campus and the surrounding area to out-of-state, international and transfer students who may not be able to visit in person. However, in March of 2020, this became more of a necessity than ever.
StudentBridge implemented a Interactive Campus Map and VisiTOUR solutions for Suffolk University. Student ambassadors use both experiences in combination to give prospective students a way to tour the campus virtually. The interactive campus map gives students who live far away a chance to experience Boston from wherever they are. Student ambassadors use the interactive campus maps to walk students through the campus during one-on-one virtual tours using Zoom. Now that in-person tours have began again, VisiTOUR provides an alternative option when tours are booked, supports impromptu campus visitors and also extends the traditional tour by enabling visitors to see the places that weren't covered during the tour.
“It was really clear to us very early on that the StudentBridge virtual map was the best tool to really showcase our campus, its unique location and tell our story as an institution. We wanted to be able to highlight our athletic fields and facilities that aren’t located on our main campus. We wanted to bring attention to our campus in Madrid, Spain and we wanted to be able to showcase the amenities in and around the city that all act as an extension of our main campus.”
